+ Jewish History Seminar begins Apr 8

The students will begin a 4-week seminar on Jewish History this week with visiting educator, Mr. Sami Steigman. Sami is 74 years old, very grandfatherly, kind, gentle and warm. He is a docent at the Jewish Museum in Battery Park City and he also happens to be a Holocaust Survivor. Sami will be in Tribeca and the West Village this week. Next week he will be at Leman and in Battery Park City.

Though today is Holocaust Rememberance Day, we will not be discussing the Holocaust as it is not part of our formal curriculum for 1st -5th grade this year. However, we invite you to bring your children to an intimate conversation with Sami and Rabbi Darren on April 22nd from 6-7 PM at Tamid (please RSVP). This will be a safe introduction to the Holocaust – age appropriate for our students.
