We’re so excited for the over 100 young professionals that came to the first DSK Shabbat gathering last Friday night. This is our newest initiative to reach folks in their 20’s and 30’s looking for a friendly and warm Jewish community to call their own.

DSK: The Downtown Shabbat Kehilah meets monthly in Lower Manhattan for prayer and shmoozing, good food and drink after the 6 PM Tamid monthly shabbat gathering. For Tamid, this is our next big effort to help create a unique community of young professionals in New York.
We are so grateful to the leaderships team: Alex Baranick, Brett Bedevian, Allison Fedele, Auren Freeman, Jon Kurzner, BJ Michaels.
We are so thankful for the partnership between Tamid, Temple Israel of New Rochelle (Rabbi Scott Weiner) and Westchester Reform Temple (Rabbi Jonathan Blake).
DSK is a network of congregations in the New York area that have come together to create a place for young professionals to gather. If you know of synagogues that may like to join DSK, please let us know. In the Tamid spirit, everyone is welcome!
