Grades 2 – 5
A “Mini-Seminar” based curriculum. Tamid is focused on depth of learning and experience. Students meet once per week from 3:30 to 5:30 and engage in five-week mini-seminars with holiday focused sessions at Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Hanukah, Purim, and Passover. Our 2016-17 seminar topics include: Jewish Lifecycle Events, Tikkun Olam + Mitzvot, Jewish History – Biblical & Ancient Times, and The Land and People of Israel Today.
6th Grade: Pre- Mitzvah Class focused on Jewish Prayer
Students meet once per week from 4:30-6 PM and are encouraged to attend five Tamid Shabbat Evening services, three field trips, and a weekend overnight. The curriculum focuses primarily on prayer learning and the music of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony. Pre-requisite is having earned the Hebrew Pin (Hebrew letter and sound mastery).
7th Grade: Bar and Bat Mitzvah Program focused on Jewish Ethics
Students meet once per week from 4:30-6 PM encouraged to attend seven Tamid Shabbat Evening services, complete the Mitzvah and Ethics Curriculum, complete the Mitzvah Checklist, and do their individual Mitzvah Project.
