Welcome
Tamid is the hebrew word for Eternal/Continuous/Ongoing and we are creating a 21st Century Synagogue in a part of New York City that is creative, artistic, and alive with possibility – and you are welcome and invited to join us.
We opened the doors of our new synagogue in May, 2012 with the mission build a progressive spiritual, educational, and cultural Jewish home for Jewish, interfaith, dual-faith, straight, LGBT, and secular individuals and families downtown. We connect through innovative and contemporary prayer, dynamic and flexible learning options, new media, and community service action.
We meet one Friday night per month for shabbat services at the iconic St. Paul’s 9/11 Chapel in New York City and our Hebrew School meets in four different downtown neighborhoods (Battery Park City, Tribeca, Financial District, and the West Village). Please like us on FACEBOOK and check out our BLOG FEED for the most recent news and photos about Tamid.
Thank you for spending a few minutes learning about Tamid. I look forward to meeting you in person and welcoming you to Tamid in the very near future.
L’shalom, in peace and friendship,
